Outside - Weather Reports and Forecasts App Reviews

I just bought this App, because it says worldwide. I live in Spain and it cant find my location. I tried to contact the Developer via Email and Twitter and since a week no feedback. I am super cheesed as I just spend nearly 9 Euro for nothing.

I hate it when I pay 8 bucks for a weather app and then I can not get Canada weather. The least they could have done is indicated that on the description. A complete waste for me.

Its doing fine except that (1) instead of a weather icon, I get three zig-zag lines. All other icons work. And (2) on the config panel, there is no Update Interval config, so I update manually.

I updated to the latest build through The APP STORE and now, it doesnt work properly. I have reported the issue. Hopefully they will come out with a fix ASAP

Waste of money, is not worth a cent!

The app doesnt always open when clicking on its icon in the menu bar. There are bugs in it. Does (sort of) what I need it to do. When Im in the USA, the app is great. Mexico doesnt work.

I was excited about some of the features, but after purchasing it, Im very dissapointed in the design as well as some bugs that came with it. First, the temp doesnt really match the fonts of the rest of the menubar. It looks like something from os 10.3; dull, faded, and kind of ugly. Second, it does have some bugs. I use an external monitor with my macbook pro and when click on the temp, it either doesnt show the submenu or only shows half of the submenu. I hope there is a fix soon. Otherwise, I wish I could get my money back. The temp seems accurate though.

I have tried WeatherHD, Swackett and this app. I have to say "Outside" works the best. It is quick, practical and gets the job done with the least amount of fuss. The latest update fixed the reconnect bugs. Thank you!

I really liked the presentation of the weather forecast until I realized that the icons are so small that they dont really convey that much information. Fails to get the forecast occasionally. My main complaint… $8 for a skinny little weather app! Pages only costs $20.

Have been using this for some time and works well. It is the most complete one that I have found on the app store. Plus when I emailed support they answered my questions in record time so I have nothing to worry.

I used to be impressed by this app, as I was looking for a good menu bar weather app. For the price, I was definitely expecting more polish. While the app FUNCTIONS and does everything as advertised, there are a lot of rough edges for the price. Often I have to reset the preferences on startup (has been happening across many versions). Also the new map "feature" of finding my location doesnt work and I have to manually find my location on the map. Would be a rough app at a cheaper price, but especially approaching $10, it needs to be a lot more.

Nice App, too expensive for what you get. I purchased Outside from the App store and when I opened the configuration window to set my location my config window dosent look like the one shown in the App store. There is no boxes to enter my location. In my config window there is a google map of the world and you have to find your location by scrolling and zooming the map. There is no way to enter multiple locations. There is no update interval slider in the config window as shown the pictures in the App store. I tried to contact support twice and got no response.
